The results of the Greek elections on Sunday 17 June 2012 have been welcomed with a sigh of relief not only across Europe and America, but also in China. The EU is in fact China’s largest trading partner, while Beijing is poised to become the Union’s most important commercial partner by the end of the year. The eurozone is now preparing to find a solution to the problem of Spanish banks and the latest economic data coming from the US does not bode well for global recovery.
