The energy problem is widely discussed. In Belgium and the rest of the world the debate about
how energy should produced and consumed plays a vital role. It is up to politics to decide the best solution to the problem, but it is up to scientists and engineers to offer possible solutions. One of these possible solutions is nuclear fusion. To be widely used, the technology does not only need to work, it needs to be competitive on the energy market. One of the issues that is being researched today is ’wall conditioning’. This paper is written within that framework. |
